The Pommery cellars and Villa Demoiselle have been inscribed in the World Heritage list of UNESCO since July 2015. The Vranken Pommery Monopole Group did not, however, wait until this title was awarded to become deeply involved in the creation of culture. Since the beginning in 2002 contemporary art exhibitions have been organised in the cellars, referred to as Expérience Pommery #. Almost two million visitors and 400 artists have benefited from a unique underground place of encounter, steeped in history. To sensitise a younger audience for contemporary art, we have initiated a partnership with the Directorate of Departmental Services of National Education in the Marne region.
Villa Demoiselle, an exceptional heritage, restored with a lot of talent and know-how, is regularly hosting exhibitions to safeguard, preserve, transmit the living heritage of which France has such an abundance. The cultural co-operation with the city of Reims has been translated into numerous partnerships with the Museum of Fine Arts, the Frac (Regional Fund for Contemporary Art and through the Circle of Patrons.
Our commitment goes further thanks to sound partnerships with the Centre Pompidou in Paris and Metz, La Monnaie in Paris, the Saatchi Gallery in London and the Mori Museum in Tokyo.
For its exceptional patronage vis a vis these major national and international institutions, the Vranken Pommery Monopole Group was awarded already back in 2012 the Medal of “Grand Patron of Culture” by the French state.
We confirm the continuity of this commitment with a exhibition of contemporary art and other more interesting projects.
